C4I Prayer Calendar February/March

“He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth,’ and to the rain shower, ‘Be a mighty downpour.’”

Job 37:6

Right now it is winter in the northern hemisphere, but by the end of March it will be spring again. In the Bible we read that God created the different seasons. Meanwhile the world and the people in it pass through the seasons: Seasons of rain and plenty and seasons of drought; Times of warmth and light and times of cold and darkness. As Creator, God holds all these seasons in His hand and gives us what we need for every phase. In Isaiah 43:15-16 we read, “I am the LORD, your Holy One, Israel’s Creator, your King. This is what the LORD says – He Who made a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters.” God helps His people Israel – and us as well – through all the seasons of life and throughout history. Give thanks for this and pray that over the coming months God will guard and keep Israel, whatever seasons they will pass through.

Every Sabbath (Saturday) in the coming two months we will pray from the weekly Torah readings.
